Can I write my own Life Story?
Yes. You are the storyteller: you answer guided questions, add photos and review your chapters. Your everyday memories, experiences and relationships are enough to begin. You can create your story for yourself and share it with family if you choose.
What if I do not think of myself as a writer?
Guided questions give you a place to begin, with follow-up questions to help you explore the details. You supply the memories and review the wording. You do not have to tell your whole life in one sitting.
What can I try for free?
You can create an account and begin with the free Prologue chapter. The free beginning does not include a complete paid Life Story package. Choose Moments, Memories or Legacy when you are ready to continue. Registering does not select or purchase a package for you.
How much time will I have?
Memories includes 10 chapters and 12 months to complete. The other paid packages have different chapter counts and access periods, shown above. You can return to your chapters during your writing access.
Can I give Life Story as a gift instead?
Yes. Choose Give as a gift, select a guided Life Story package and enter your recipient’s details in the gift checkout. They receive a gift voucher by email with instructions to redeem their gift. The recipient is the storyteller: they answer guided questions, add photos and review their chapters. You do not need to write their life story for them.
Is a printed book included?
No. Life Story creates a downloadable digital book from reviewed chapters. Physical printing and shipping are not included. Review the book contents before requesting a download; earlier downloads do not update automatically.
