“One day I’ll write it all down.” Still saying it?
You’ve wanted to share your story with your family. Perhaps you even started, then put it aside when you realised how much there was to tell. This time, give yourself a smaller place to begin.
Tell It Your Way lets you write one memory at a time, with optional questions to help and no chapter order to follow.

The stories you’d like them to know.
When the task is “write my life story”, even choosing a starting point can feel like work. You may know exactly why you want to do it, and still struggle to begin.
Choose one moment you’d enjoy telling your family about. That can be a story on its own.
An example, before you decide
A small story you can picture telling.
Fictional example to illustrate the process.
01 / An optional starting question
What is one moment with your children that still makes you laugh?
02 / A few words in reply
My daughter and I made pancakes one rainy Saturday. The first one stuck. She called it the practice pancake. We ate it by the stove. I hope she remembers how much I enjoyed those afternoons with her.
03 / A story to share
One rainy Saturday, my daughter and I made pancakes. The first one stuck, so she named it the “practice pancake”. We ate it standing by the stove. I hope she remembers how much I enjoyed those afternoons with her.
One afternoon, and something this parent would like their daughter to know. That is enough for this story.
Two ways to tell a story
How would you like to begin?
You might welcome questions to lead you through your life. Or you might have one memory you’re ready to tell. Choose what feels comfortable.
A good place to start
Tell It Your Way
Have a memory you’d like your family to know? Start with that one. Write in your own words, bring a photo, or use a question to help you begin.
Each story can stand on its own. You choose what comes next.
Would it help to have someone ask the questions? Explore the different parts of your life, from childhood and relationships to the things you’ve learned.
Questions and themed chapters give you a path to follow.
Life Story packages and Tell It Your Way have separate access and free-start options.
A beginning you can manage.
01
Choose a memory
Think of something you’d like your family to know. Begin with a few words, a photo or a question to help you get started.
02
Tell a little at a time
Write what you remember. You can save a story in progress and return to it during your writing access, without having to finish it all at once.
03
Choose what you want to share
Read it back and make any changes. Keep the finished story for yourself, or include it in a digital book for your family.
One memory is enough to begin
Try Tell It Your Way for one calendar month.

verify it and confirm activation of your trial. No card required; eligibility applies.
Separate annual access. After the trial, access becomes read/download only. To
continue writing, choose paid annual access; review the current price in the app. The trial does
not automatically become a paid purchase.
Optional guidance has usage allowances. Tell It Your Way access is separate from guided Life
Story.
Initial annual purchases and each renewal include a 30-day full money-back guarantee from payment, with no story-count condition. The free trial does not reduce this window. Paid access ends when refunded, without the ordinary expiry finishing period. Statutory rights are unaffected.
No. Write a little, save your progress and return during your writing access. A story can be short, and you can leave other memories for another time.
Who can start the free trial?
You’ll need an active account and a verified email address. The app checks whether you’re eligible before you confirm your one-calendar-month trial. If you’ve already had a trial, paid access or complimentary Tell It Your Way access, you may not be eligible. No card is required.
What happens after the trial?
Your access becomes read/download only. Continuing to write requires separate paid annual access; you can review the current price in the app. The no-card trial does not automatically become a purchase.
Does a guided Life Story package include this?
They are separate options. Life Story has a free Prologue and paid guided packages. Tell It Your Way has its own trial and annual access, with usage allowances for optional guidance.
Is a printed book included?
You receive a downloadable digital book to keep and share. Physical printing and shipping are not included. If you later change the stories in your book, review the contents and download a new copy.
Your story, a little at a time
