Tell It Your Way

Your memories don’t arrive in chapter order.

There may be one story you’ve been wanting to tell your family. A decision they were too young to understand. An adventure they’ve only heard a little about. You can start with the memory you want to share.

Tell It Your Way gives each memory its own place, with optional questions to help you tell it and no fixed chapter sequence.

One calendar month · No card required · Eligible verified accounts

Three loose handwritten pages numbered 12, 3 and 7.
The stories you’d like them to know.

A photograph brings something back. Or a conversation leaves you thinking, “I’ve never told them about that.” You already know which story you want to tell.

Follow that memory. The earlier years can have their turn another day.

An example, before you decide

A familiar memory, seen from your side.

Fictional example to illustrate the process.

01 / An optional starting question

What is a decision you’d like your family to understand better?

02 / A few words in reply

I went back to studying at thirty-five. The children remember my books on the kitchen table. I’d always wanted to teach, but I was frightened I’d be the oldest in the class. I nearly didn’t enrol. I’m glad I did.
03 / A story to share
My children remember the books on the kitchen table when I went back to studying at thirty-five. I had always wanted to teach, but I was frightened I would be the oldest in the class. I nearly didn’t enrol. Looking back, I’m glad I did.

The children may remember the books. Here they can also learn how their parent felt about taking that step.

Two ways to tell a story

How would you like to begin?

You might welcome questions to lead you through your life. Or you might have one memory you’re ready to tell. Choose what feels comfortable.

Another way to begin

Guided Life Story

Would it help to have someone ask the questions? Explore the different parts of your life, from childhood and relationships to the things you’ve learned.

Questions and themed chapters give you a path to follow.

Explore guided Life Story

Life Story packages and Tell It Your Way have separate access and free-start options.

A beginning you can manage.

  1. Choose a memory

Think of something you’d like your family to know. Begin with a few words, a photo or a question to help you get started.

  2. Tell a little at a time

Write what you remember. You can save a story in progress and return to it during your writing access, without having to finish it all at once.

  3. Choose what you want to share

Read it back and make any changes. Keep the finished story for yourself, or include it in a digital book for your family.

A few practical answers

Must I complete earlier chapters first?

No. Begin with the memory you want to tell. Each story can stand on its own. If you would prefer questions that lead you through the different parts of your life, you can explore guided Life Story instead.

Who can start the free trial?

You’ll need an active account and a verified email address. The app checks whether you’re eligible before you confirm your one-calendar-month trial. If you’ve already had a trial, paid access or complimentary Tell It Your Way access, you may not be eligible. No card is required.

What happens after the trial?

Your access becomes read/download only. Continuing to write requires separate paid annual access; you can review the current price in the app. The no-card trial does not automatically become a purchase.

Does a guided Life Story package include this?

They are separate options. Life Story has a free Prologue and paid guided packages. Tell It Your Way has its own trial and annual access, with usage allowances for optional guidance.
